Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS)

CASAS tests assess a student's skill levels needed for success in the workplace, community, and family and establishes measurable goals and learning outcomes. CASAS assessment system is used at Triton College to help all potential students entering into the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. ESL courses are designed to help non–native English speakers develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Triton College offers 6 levels of ESL instruction from very basic to advance.

Steps to Enroll
   • Come to Adult Education Office located in the A-Building, Room A-203
   • Fill out the Intake Form with a Picture ID
   • Take the eCASAS Test
   • Sign up for Placement Test to determine Correct Level Placement

The CASAS exam is administered via computer (eCASAS tests). The test items includes CASAS Life and Work Reading.

It is recommended to review the test preparation below prior to taking the eCASAS Test.

Test Schedule
Test are administered in the Testing Center, Room A-126 on a walk in basis.

The Testing Hours are:
   • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-6:00pm
   • Friday: 8:30am-2:00pm
   • Saturday: 9:30am-12:00pm 

Test Requirements
   • Picture ID
   • Adult Education Testing Form (must be picked up in Room A-203)
