Jazz, Holiday Music Featured at Upcoming Free Concerts

Whether you’re looking for some music to help put you in the holiday mood, or would prefer to tap into your jazzy side, Triton College’s Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Department has you covered with a pair of upcoming FREE concerts.   

 

Triton College Community Band Holiday Concert

Monday, Dec. 4.

7:30 p.m. 

Under the direction of Dana Legg, the concert will celebrate the holiday season with a selection of timely pieces and a lot of fun.

Fall Jazz Ensembles Concert

Thursday, Dec. 7 

7:30 p.m.

Director James Davis will lead the Triton College Jazz Combo and Triton College Big Band as they present an evening of jazz music ranging from swing and bebop to Latin and contemporary selections. Along with the Triton Jazz Combo, this concert will feature music of jazz greats including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Miles Davis and Horace Silver.

Both concerts will be held the Triton College Performing Arts Center of the Robert M. Collins Center (R Building, Room 218).
