Triton College to host film screening for One Earth Film Festival

Triton College will host the screening for “Symphony of the Soil,” as part of the Midwest’s premier environmental film festival, One Earth Film Festival. The screening will run from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on March 8, in Triton’s Performing Arts Center in the Robert M. Collins Center.

RSVP offers free tax counseling for older Americans

RSVP of West Suburban Cook and Southern DuPage Counties sponsored by Triton College in River Grove once again is offering the Internal Revenue Service’s Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE), a free tax counseling program for individuals age 60 and older from low‐ to moderate income households. RSVP has been providing this program for more than 15 years in partnership with the IRS.

Triton College and Roosevelt University signed a Dual Degree Program agreement on Dec. 15 that will streamline the process for graduates of Triton to earn a bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt.

Triton College recognizes Black History Month with community events

Triton College recognizes and celebrates the achievements of African‐Americans with many educational and social events open to the community during Black History Month in February. Coordinated by the college’s Black Heritage Council, the Black History Month 2015 celebration, themed “A Century of Black Life, History and Culture,” aspires to educate and motivate students and onlookers to strive for success with a monthlong of events that address topics important to the black community.
