Staff and Students will use the MyTriton Portal for registration, grades, class rosters, degree audit and more.
MyTRITON STUDENT ACCOUNTSStudents, to have your account created you will need to complete a Triton College application and have completed your Triton College placement tests or have provided documentation of an equivalent completion. After your account is created you should receive an email with your username and your password.
MyTRITON EMPLOYEE ACCOUNTSEmployees will have their account created and verified through HR upon entry into the system. After your account is created, employees will be notified of their username through their supervisor or HR department.
Usernames will be formatted as follows:First name + last firstname.lastname@example.orgFor example: John Smith would be email@example.com
Note that if the username is already in use, a number may be added or a shortened version may be provided; use the username exactly as it appears in the e-mail.
Passwords will be formatted as follows:First letter of your first name + first three letters of your last name + birth date in a six digit month, day, year formatFor example: John Smith’s birthday is on July 1, 1990, so his password would appear as jsmi070190
Once you log into the portal for the first time, you should change your password. Navigate to the upper right-hand corner and click the arrow displayed next to your name. Once the arrow is clicked, a menu will display, navigate to the "Change Password" option and click. A small screen will display which prompts you for the new password. Following the password instructions, create your new password and press the change password button to apply the change.
* If you do not receive an e-mail with your username and password, or are unsure of your account information, you can use the Account Lookup link by clicking the button below to verify your username and reset your password to the default above, or you can visit the welcome desk in the B building, or contact the Call Center at (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3130.
ACCOUNT LOOK UP AND PASSWORD RESETFor username verification or to reset your password, click the "Look Up Account/Reset Password" button and complete the following steps: 1. Enter your legal last name 2. Enter your full social security number (no dashes, ex. 123121234) or if you know your colleague ID, you may enter that number in the Colleague ID field 3. Click submit
Upon clicking submit, your username will display. If you just want to confirm your username without resetting your password, you can stop there. If you would like to continue, to reset your password you must select an e-mail address from the drop down menu and then click submit. The password will be reset to the default setup (see above).
LOGGING OFF OF THE PORTALLogging off of the portal is important, especially when using a public computer.
To log off of the portal:Navigate to the upper right-hand corner and click the arrow displayed next to your name. Once the arrow is clicked, a menu will display, navigate to the "Sign Out" option and click.
Once you click "Sign Out" in the menu, a new page will load, indicating that the user must close the browser to complete the sign out. Be absolutely sure to exit the browser to ensure that you are logged out of the portal. Users must completely close all browser windows.
